Fruit wonder 4 crushed marie biscuits 1 1/2 cup mixed fruits 2tbsp set jelly 1tsp sliced almonds for custard sauce 1 cup low fat milk 2tsp sugar 2 level tsp custard powder few drops vanilla essence For custard sauce Put the milk to boil with sugar Mix custard powder with 1 tbsp of cold milk Add this to the boiling milk till it becomes thick. Cool add vanilla essence and chill. In a tall glass put half the crushed biscuits top with half the chopped fruits and half the custard. Garnish with jelly and sliced almonds and serve chilled. Pineapple passion 4 cups peeled and cubed pineapple 4 cups peeled and cubed papaya 2 tbsp freshly grated coconut 8 ice cubes Blend the pineapplepieces,papaya pieces,coconut and ice cubes in a liquidizer.pour in a tall glass and serve. Date and apple milkshake 4 cups low fat milk 1 large apple chopped 10 black dates finely chopped a few drops vanilla essence 3 ice cubes Soak the dates in 1/2 cup of warm milk and leave aside for 20 mts.Blend all the ingredients and pour in individual glasses and serve chilled.
Re: Modern Microwave Cooking A friend of mine gave me a recipie made of Banana which could be used as a snack, I made some slight changes to it and it turned out yummy wanted to share it with you all. Every one in the home loved it. Pls give it a try and your feed backs also. Yummy Banana: Total Cooking Time: (3 Mins, though the time might change depending upon the Microwave) Total Servings :1 (If you want more servings increase the Bananas) Ingredients: 1Banana prefrebly green Banana 1/2 Teaspoon melted unsalted butter ot Ghee 1/2 Teaspoon Brown Sugar or Jaggery Method: In a microwave safe bowl; Cut Banana into small pieces of your choice, sprinkle the brown sugar/jaggery on top and add the melted Butter or Ghee and keep in Microhigh for 1 min (depends upon the Microwave keep it more or less). I had to keep it for close to 1 and a half minute. After removing this from the oven I added apples cut into small pieces and dried grapes. It tasted heaven. You can avoid ghee/butter if you are so diet conscious.
Recipe of Chiku Burfi Chiku Burfi Ingredients: 8 tsp Sugar 2 tbsp Ghee 1 cup Khoya 4 cups Chiku pulp ½ tsp Cardamom powder 2 tbsp Chopped Almonds (optional) Method: Put the chiku pulp in a blender and whisk for one minute. Add sugar and khoya and cook, stirring till dry. Add ghee and stir till the mix leaves the sides of the pan. Add cardamom powder, mix well, pour on a greased plate. Garnish it with almonds and siver foil. Keep it in the refrigerator for an hour. Cut them into desired shape.
Hi all, Here I am sharing Sweet Potato Custard. INGREDIENTS: * Milk-2 cups * Eggs-3 * sweet -4 * sugar-1/2 cup * salt-1 pinch * Cinnamon -1/2 teaspoon * freshly ground nutmeg or ground cinnamon for topping METHOD: First of all Heat the milk and set it aside. Heat oven to 350°. Add Butter to 6-ounce custard cups; set cups in a large baking or roasting pan. In a mixing bowl, lightly beat the eggs. Add all the ingredients.Pour into the prepared custard cups. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until edges are firm. The center of the custards will still jiggle a bit. Remove cups from water immediately and place on a wire rack to cool. Cover the cooled custard with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.Custurd is ready to serve.:thumbsup The custards may be stored, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
