    hey, its a coincidence that i wil be moving to kota kemuning in 2 months or so... then our premises wil be very close..

    are there any indians there oso??? i thot that area got only chinese..

    This is Prabha from Bangalore.I am here on business trip for a month. I am in KL sentral. Went round the city it is very beautiful. Nice to see the Indian thread active in IL.
    Need a suggestion, want to buy some gift items..like bags/souveniers etc..for my friends and relatives back home.. which is a good location /shop to buy them? also pl. suggest some gift items i can take from here..

    I am also new to Kl.. But I have done lotsssss of shopping here for my friends and relatives back at home...

    If you want to get a variety of items and lots of choices, you can visit

    Mydin, Summit or Mid Valley Mega mall..

    You wil have new variety of purses, handbags, cosmetics, accessories,footwear,nightwear etc which are very different and colourful when compared to India..

    But if you want to get same item in many numbers, for example : 10 purses for your 10 friends which look alike, then the place you have to go is GM Plaza.. It is the best and cheapest but you have to get in wholesale..

    Any other queries in particular??

    thanks for the response. So how long u are in malaysia? and are u working also?
    Yes that is wat i also realised..u get lot of pruses/watches./bags fashionable ones..
    and also found good quality plastic containers here..(bottles similar to tupper ware here)..any idea where can i get them good and cheap?..there is a small shop near my hotel he does not hv variety.

    where is mydin or summit and the other place GM plaza u mentioned? i am staying in KL sentral..if u can let me know the nearest train station (kl/ or mono rail/kommuter) to these places....pl give me directin to these places ..

    I am not working.. I have just finished my Masters Degree a month back, married and settled here.. On the look out for a job..

    Yes, several items are nice here..Mydin is in almost all big localities.. Summit also.. U can inquire the hotel u stay as to where ur nearest complex is.. Mydin in Subang Jaya is very close to my place.. bt that wil be a 30 min journey for u.. I am sure u have sumthing closer..

    So, hw do u like this place Malaysia?? have u ever gone around the city?
    Keep posted about ur shopping experience..
