Young people get cheated all the time. People are not what they seem, but girls are innocent enough to think that all are honest and mature in marriage. Sadly, when the gilr finds out, the sense of loss is immense. Everyone makes mistakes and they are meant to be treated as such.

In the present case, the girl needs moral support to overcome the sense of loss and disappointment. Her parents can give her this. Initially they may fret and fume, but they have her interest at heart. They will be of help to get out of this tangle , with minimum hurt.

It is not clear whether she is living in India or abroad. If abroad ,( USA?), it is better to consult a lawyer. But the legal advice is expensive. Better to know the procedures before embarikng on annulment or divorce or separtion. The laws are not uniform in all the states in USA.

In case she is India, she can easily contact a good lawyer and tell the truth . Usually counselling procedures are followed then the divorce may be filed. The lawyers on both the sides ( soemtimes same lawyer !) can arrange for mutual consent divorce. This is the best way to end the relationship.
But , I think they may insist for the couple to be separted for two years or so before granting the divorce. ( not sure about this).

Whatever the cost (emotional or monetary) , it is better to get away and forget the experience soon, as a bad dream.
