    Hi Moms,

I have a very unique problem (calling it unique as I haven't seen any post similar to my issue on this forum so far). My son is 21 months old and he does not like to have solid food i.e. chapati and/or rice with daal. I have been giving him mashed kchidi with vegetables (use blender to make a paste after I cook) since he was 9 month old. I have tried a lot in the past but he would not just take this. I understand that he has been in the teething game very late (did not start teething until 13 months) and still not have all the teeths in place but that should not be big issue. Any suggestions or idea that I can use to get him on to regular meals.

BTW - Offlate he has started liking maggi noodles (atta noodles with vegetables) and regular mac-n-cheese (that we get here in US) but that is not engouh as i know he needs to eat his regular food..

    Please help!!!:confused2::confused2:

I tried this yesterday with DS for lunch and he loved it

    Carrots and Chickpeas recipe

    1 big carrot
1 cup soaked and boiled chickpease
    1 clove garlic

Peel and cut the carrot into pieces. Boil the carrot till tender. Put the carrots, chickpeas and garlic in the blender and blend into required consistency..
Add a pinch of salt (optional) and little pepper..

I tasted it too..It is very delicious and healthy too..

Lot of vitamins and protein in this dish.. Try it..

    Another healthy recipe for breakfast/snack

    Avocado and banana mash

Avocado - Select a ripe one..Cut and scoop out the fruit inside.
Add banana and mash them to required consistency.

If your baby is eating finger foods then you can give small pieces of Avocado just like that too..

Avocado is very high in fat and very good for babies. The best part is you need not cook Avocado or Banana. You can just mash them up as it is..

If I take one avocado and one banana then it serves as breakfast for 2 days...Scooped avocado can be put in the fridge for 1-2 days..Not more than that..

    Very healthy.

Girls, can I give carrot juice for my DD? She is going to turn 10 months in a week. If so how should I give it her? Mixing with milk?
