Local Walgreens has run out of High Dose for 65+ people.
All of us got the flu shot already this year. It is compulsory at my workplace with dismissal as a penalty for those who don’t comply, but I would have gotten it anyways.
Especially in a pandemic involving a respiratory disease you want to make sure you minimize the effect of other viruses that affect the same systems.
There are many places and even doctors offices offering drive-thru flu shots.
As for timing I would plan to get it now so you have time to build up immunity for flu season. January is a bit late. Doctors offices also keep running out of flu vaccine so I would plan on getting it quickly.

We all got flu shots. Advised to take this year. I just googled and went sam's club. Costco and other local stores takes most of the insurances.
I got it thru my work organization.. but I do see many pharmacies have boards for flu shots... I have seen it at Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Ralphs too.
Every year, and age-appropriate dose.
You can get it at your primary care. I get it every year for me and my family and even took one this year.
