There are some foreign language words that deserve to be imported into all other languages. One such is the Welsh word "hiraeth" that has no direct English translation. It is a pull on the heart that calls a wanderer home, symbolizes a deep yearning or intense longing for something. This month’s winning post had me revisiting some fond journeys of childhood. The Winner of the Finest Post Award is @PurpleRoses for her snippet: A Train Journey To Remember... Thank you @PurpleRoses for reminding us of these lovely memories. Thank you @Viswamitra and @maalti for bringing this post to FP. And, thank you to all those who nominated and seconded the nominations.
@PurpleRoses Hearty congratulations on your becoming the Finest Post winner! It was a wonderful post and I loved it. I have more memories of my train journeys of my life than anything else!
@Rihana Paying any tribute to you on what you present as Winner announcement is like chanting my favourite mantras. It gives me salvation for what I have missed writing in my life!
