Dear V sir, Your congratulations mean a lot to me, so thank you for those. As for what's in the post - I am sorry it did not make much sense Hopefully parents with younger children didn't feel that way. With my own grown up, it is hard for me to understand what parents go through but thankfully, my students and their parents keep me informed and challeneged. As for us parents, i am sure we all have lower IQs than our children and what we strive to do is like my dad always said "make sure our children see the world sitting on our shoulders", the privilege and a wish they see farther than we could - by doing that we are doing everything we can just like the parents here in IL. Thank fully for you and me, ours are grown up but I understand what younger moms go through!
My dear Srama It was awesome post and you deserve the award. @Cheeniya Sir must have had a tough job. But he says he likes tough job Hearty Congrats
Dear Sabitha, I didn't say it didn't make much sense and I simply said I didn't get it. How can I say it didn't make sense when I didn't get it? I was wondering what would the parents who are not that well educated would do if their children were to be gifted? I guess the parents can become facilitators (like your dad suggested) to gifted children to grow through the grind meant for those who are gifted. The children like APJ will still be coming from lowest echolon to achieve the highest level of accomplishments.
@Srama - this is such a well deserved win! Congratulations. I loved all your posts in the thread. Such words of wisdom for all parents, not necessarily those of profoundly gifted children. Encouraging children to blossom in their own time is the nest advice any parent can get! Thank you for such insightful posts.
Dear @Laks09 , You have been a friend and a cheerleader for so long! I hope you know I look to you for advice in what you write and most of the time in awe of you! You are one amazing mom! I enjoy reading when you share and yes, I do read even if irrlevant to me just because I know I will see some pearls there! Thank you for your words!
