Hi I am here in Sydney for the past 7 months and I have started searching for jobs but I am really frustrated because I don't get enough replies. I have IT experience in India but I think they are not considering those experiences here in Sydney, because at one place they asked me for local experiences. Can anyone let me know your experiences of finding jobs here ? How you applied etc. it will be a great help for me. Thanks ladies in advance.

hi friends...no positive sign yet from my side..any one is holding 457 visa here?...i m speaking to consultancy for contract job..my cv get shortlisted and i get a call...later no response....i believe guys who r having PR shouldn't have much problem ...please share if some body else got a luck
Hi guys Dont lose heart ...... My good advise is patience it takes atleast 6 months to get into their database ... what super skills you have here it is all like new entrant ............i dont know why 6 months and asked my friend who is in consultancy she said "some people come here and go back because they couldnt adapt the aussie culture thats why we dont hire new entrant and wait whether they have been for atleast 6 months and adapted the aussie culture "........... ..if you guys need anything PM me i can help me upto my best of knowledge
thanks for the advise dear ..but 457 visa really matters for getting IT job in australia....currently i m n brisbane..we may move to sydney...hope sydney has lot of options than in brisbane..but still need ur advise on job search ....i couldn't PM u due to lack of posts in last couple of months ....so pls u can throw few tips on ur exp...tks dear
Sydney IT market is bit soft at the moment since you have aussie experience it shouldnt be a big rat race to enter into the job market ...what is your specialization ? if you could throw some light i shall guide you thru this
