I made one mistake when I bought the necessities for making filter coffee. I got the tumbler but not the cup which the tumbler has to sit on. Picture of the tumbler and cup: https://www.amazon.com/WONDERLIST-H...umbler&qid=1659329080&sprefix=,aps,128&sr=8-5
Thank you @Laks09 I have mostly survived on tea and after drinking loads of coffee in India this time, I had to try it at home.
Thank you @sociallifein30s 1/3 decotion and 2/3 milk seems to be the consensus. The problem is I have whole milk which I dilute it normally. Might have to be trial and error in my case to find the right proportion.
Wow, thank you Ma'm, that was both educational and enjoyable. I don't remember seeing the percolator in recent times and had totally forgotten that it existed. I will need to come back time and again to your response here till I have the details you have shared ingrained. Truly valuable.
Sir, thank you for that vivid description. As I sit reading it beyond midnight, I can smell the coffee you have described, see the steam evaporating and am craving for another cup at this moment. Somehow you insistence of has stayed with me. Lot of fine tuned information in your response sir. Thank you for that. I learnt and enjoyed your response! Will come back and share the results soon.
As addedum to my previous response, i wish to state here about coffee - A thesis about coffee around the world - one can read encyclopaedic from the thread by il famous popular fellow member @Amulet Amulet's Coffee In chennai for lovers of coffee with out sugar C12 H22 O 11 Some restaurants charge extra. I questioned the supervisor of Saravana Bhawan in one if their branches, his answer surprised me. He said the sugar(powdered) stands added to the powder and then decoction extracted. For those ordering coffee, they have to get decoction extracted separately which is additional work and consumes extra time! Therefore they are compelled to charge more fir extra labour! A friend of mine told a little brandy in a thin layer l ed on to this beverage and micro sipping it makes him at ease when he suffers severe cold. I haven’t tried!
Thank you @MalStrom @PurpleRoses @SuiDhaaga @Laks09 @sociallifein30s @hrastro @Thyagarajan for sharing your knowledge on the topic. I appreciate all of your advices as the thickness, color and taste was perfect. (It might have been too perfect as I drank 4 cups between 7 AM and 11 AM, which I need to find a way of reducing ) Thank you all!! Here is a picture which @SuiDhaaga asked for:
