    Congratulations on your baby.

Check with the doctor is your baby is tongue tie. does your baby have a good latch? I suggest that you see articles on la leche league to find out about various types of feeding holds. Get your husband to help you with it. It take a bit of time and effort but you will get there. All the best dear

Examine your nipples and if its too small for baby to latch on....you can try nipple shields or just a bit of training. Coax your baby to latch on. It takes a bit effort. If baby still refuses to latch on, try breast pump. I know its a lot time to pump the milk but please don't stop breast feeding. Newborn babies need breast milk to boost their immunity.

    Good Luck

it will take time for both to get adjusted to each other. even my daughter had similar problem with her son who is now 6 months old. try sitting in a chair with side arms while feeding u have to take help of someone to hold the baby and force the nipple into baby's mouth, that is what hospital nurses told my daughter, it has worked. put a pillow on ur lap to make urself comfortable to feed.

    hi manuat job,

Did the problem get solved? Is your baby able to nurse well now?

What jyothisri said is right, it will take some time and also, yes, a nursing pillow gave me a proper position thus enabling baby to latch properly.

Check with your doc as to why the baby does not latch properly.. Direct latching relieves stress, promotes more BM production and later you can use pumping to store milk.

Visit the doc or a lactation consultant.. Hope it gets solved soon..
