In my place lakshmi temple this is the way they do pooja every pournami in the temple and I follow it every time and gives lots of satisfaction, v.simple format.
Materials - all you need is a copper plate, photo of sathya narayana, manjal ganapathy or photo of ganapathy,a deepam, agarbhati, karpoora harathi some flowers, any fruit, chandan, kumkum and kesari thats it.

Methodology - First ganapathy pooja,pancha palaka pooja, navagraha pooja, astha thikpalaka pooja, sathya narayan ashothram harathi and then katha sravanam.
It takes just 40 mns then I distribute kesari and enjoy.

find a sai baba temple near by you and go there and aks if they to this pooja on pournami it will cost you less as they do

and ask them that you want to to do this pooja and pay and go there when they do the pooja
you have to give your nakshtra and name

specailly they do in pournami

and its specail in saibaba temple

In the earlier posts i read about Navgraha pooja and Ganesha pooja before Satya narayan pooja..can u please tell me the exact pooja methods for this...
I would prefer it in English or Hindi.

If you are doing it for the first time, consider having a shastri (priest) performing it or check with your local temple if they perform group Katha during pournamis (which usually is the case atleast in the place where I live).

We do it every month by ourselves with the help of CD.
