    Re: Saree Tracing

    Hi friend,
I am sirisha from Hyderabad, I have seen your request, I know about the tracing. Let me explain this.
whatever the design you would like to trace on a saree,
    1. draw the design on trace paper.

    2. place the trace paper on a pillow and make sure that it will not move for this you can pierce needles on four sides.

    3. take one sewing needle and make hole along the design outlines.

    4. be careful that no two holes merge . It will make your design spoil.

    5. take half spoon of Zinc powder (It will be available in all painting or stitching material selling shops).

    6. add some kirosene to it until it become a liquid. Zinc powder can be available in two colours, white and black.

    7. wear gloves on your hands.

    8. place the pierced trace paper on your saree. make sure that it had placed correctly and it does not move.

    9. take some cotton dip in that mixture and squeeze it so that the liquid goes of
and apply along the pierced outlines.

    10. This will make your design like dotted lines on your saree.

imp note: do not forget to wear gloves before toucing kerosene, otherwise your hands will spoil,

    and

before printing place an old cloth under your saree. It will absorb the excess liquid while printing.

last and final important thing is try this procedure on an old cloth and later on your saree.

    thanking you,

if you have any further doubts, dont hesitate to share with me.

    bye,

    Sirisha.
