The same doubt i am also having. I am having "JAGUAR" sewing machine.
In that machine shall we do any embroidery work. I also need suggestion
from our IL friends.

Can you get the full details from vidya. I have only singer sewing machine with 32 embroidery stiches. Now only, i started to do embroidery.
Just now, i do som trial in my old suridhar.

Try and do it best.

For sometime now I have practically neglected sewing as I am busy with painting (refer to my album) & also this thread. Sorry. :bonk
For shaded emb u can use both straight stitch or zigzag. whatever suits you. While doing it with zigzag make sure the size of zigzag is small.
Usually satin stitch to fill round design are done with straight stitch, starting with small length slowly moving over to larger size to fit the size of design& then reducing again.

Frankly speaking I can't do zigzag on ordinary machine since I have not had any formal training like yourself or my mom. Hatzoff to you for being so patient to learn the embroidery. Basically I was inspired by mom's works. :bowdown
