    hi all!
    i had mentioned that i have a book on crewel/ jacobean embroidery and i think leelagk- if i'm not wrong requested me to post the stitches! i'm v late in responding to her request but better late than never!
    so here we are: the 1st picture will be the instructions of the stitch and the subsequent picture will show you how the stitch has been used!
    so i hope you like it!
    THE FIRST STITCH IS : BASQUE STITCH.

    Hi,
    This is the stitch(first one) i had done in my saree. The old pattusaree made new

    thread. Same. this is the stitch. But i dontknow the name and i spelled it as twisted chain.

    first of all let me say thanx a million to u that u didnt forget my request even though u r in buzy shedule:bowdown:bowdown:bowdown....its a gr8 job dear:clap:clap:clap....truly all ilites wud be benefitted by such a kind & thoughtful effort...its well worth.....u could add all stitches in this thread so that it wl be easy for all of us to learn nd clear nd even to identify names as a good stitch dictionary.....thank u once again su....keep on posting.....nd im eagerly waiting one aft another....:thumbsup:thumbsup

    BTW i hav a small suggestion.....it'd better if u change the title as stitch dictionary instead of the name given now....if u like only......take care....:cheers

    I am sorry I missed your thread. The sari look different and very nice. Makes me want to try Jacobean embroidery soon.
