Re: ilai adai yes, i also saw the program. wheat flour 1 cup jeera powder 1-2 tspn salt for poornam: grated coconut 1 cup jaggery 1 cup or 3/4 cup elaichi 2-3 First prepare dough just as chapathi using the wheat flour, jeera powder, salt by sprinkling water little by little. then cover it with a plate for 1/2 an hour. then, in a non-stick pan, put the grated coconut, jaggery, elaichi powder, and cook it in a medium flame without adding water. then within ten minutes, stop the gas and allow it to cool for few minutes. meanwhile, take a banana leaf and cut it into a circular shape and put a lemon sized wheat flour dough and spread it in the leaf in a round shape. to get the shape u can touch the water and u can easily spread it now. and in the centre, fill the poornam (1 spoon) and spread fully. And then fold the dough (once) (1/2 circle). then put it in the idli steamer or u can use a kadaai. in the kadai, put little water, place a cup with water, and above that place the plate with the prepared dough with poornam. and cover the kadaai with a lid. within 10 minutes .........ur ILAI ADAI is ready.
