My families all time easy recipe on a pressure cooker is here…

    1. Add oil to the cooker. Once hot, add jeera , curry leaves.
    2. Then add chopped onions and sauté till light pink.
    3. Now add turmeric powder, chili powder, salt and coriander powder. Add garam masala( if u require only)
    4. Now add chopped potatoes and slightly fry them
    5. Now add 2 cups of water and close the lid of the cooker.
    6. After 2-3 whistles, open the cooker mash them ( if reqd) else just stir.
    7. Check consistency as per your taste.
    8. Now Potato – Onion curry is ready… Garnish with coriander leaves..

avial - simple, coconut, jeera, and green chilly grind and add.the boil for few mins.after the raw smell goes, add curd, dont boil.just turn off the stove when avial starts to boil.add coconut oil, curry leaves after turning off the stove and avial is done.
if u dont want too much coconut , then u can add rice flour for thickness:2thumbsup:

My favourite is mixed dhal cooked with fresh methi leaves.

all dhals tuar, channa, moong, mixed together 1 to 1.5 cups.

    2 onions medium sized.
    2 tomatoes big.
    1 cup fenugreek leaves/methi leaves.(fresh)
    little garam masala.
2 to 3 teaspoons chilli powder.
2 to 3 teaspoons dhaniya powder.
2 table spoons of sliced ginger.

heat 2 table spoons oil in pressure cooker, add a reaspoon of whole jeera, sliced onions, saute for few mins. then add finelychopped methi leaves fry until the raw smell from methi leaves goes, then add tomatoes, and sliced ginger, enough salt, chilli pwd, dhaniya and garam masala powder fry few more mins. then add dhal and enough water pressure cook them together give 3 or 4 whistles. tastes good. goes well with rice and chappathis. no need to pressure cook the dhal separately.
