Driving down from nj to fl

    Hi all,
    We are moving from edison,NJ to tampa,FL in march end..... Thinking of driving down...... has anyone done this? Any idea about how safe is I-95 interstate?
    Any suggestions on this is most welcome......

    I-95 is safe. Try to divide your drive for two days and take a break in the middle at any city. Driving for long distance in one day might not be that safe.

    Hi Kirthi,

    Sorry for the late input.
    I-95 is safe only no worries.we moved Tampa long back at present i don't live there.

    we took a break in South Carolina and drove again the next day.Its safe to take break in middle so that you will get rest as well as you won't get tired too.

    I think it is safe. Take breaks in between. I remember I drove from MI to CA few yrs back. I used to start at 10 in morning, drive 700-800 miles everyday and stop at 10 in the night. Reached on the 3rd evening to California.

    If you both can drive on freeway, well and good. You can take turns. All the best

    You can take the autotrain from Virginia (Amtrak) and sleep on the train and arrive the next morning. The car will be put on a special car and passengers go to passenger cars.
