:hiya my friend complaints of skin peeling at joints . she has a dry skin. she also has thyroid. inspite of the medicines for thyroid the skin drying and peeling has not come to a complete halt. is it something to do with eczyma. worried for her. can any one help. sashasri
sashasri I think its not eczyma(skin to become inflamed or irritated) but psoriasis(white, silvery flaky skin) that starts mainly on joints. Thyroid have nothing to do with this condition. No self medication. Please consult a dermatologist immediately. Thanks
Sashasri, It's better your friend sees a dermat immediately. Meanwhile, ask your friend to rub some coconut oil/milk on the affected area which is supposed to be very good for dry flaky skin, psoriasis or eczema. I used to use coconut milk for my extreme case of eczema; it's a lot better now and flares only in worse humid conditions.
