I have had issues with back acne since puberty.

Upper back is full of spots. They are blemishes more than pimples. One or two pimples do pop up at times , but its mostly acne spots or marks. They are all over my upper back.

I also have such acne marks on chest and 2-3 on each side of the stomach and on my upper shoulder.

On face – acne come and go in phases, for a few months my face will be clear then for few months I will have acne on jawline and neck. The marks are so prominent that I cannot wear deep blouse or sleeveless (even though I LOVE both!!).

I had chemical treatment done for this and it still didn’t work !! The marks are too stubborn.

I have been diagnosed with PCOS. and am undertaking homeopathy for the same.

I have not seen any one else with this condition. Do you know anyone like that? Any solutions?

Welcome to the club! You aren't alone in this. The reasons can be many things- dandruff, oily skin, lack of outdoor activity etc. It gets better with
    1. swimming.
    2. Outdoor activities.
    3. Medimix soap, neem face wash
    4. regular bath and hair free of dandruff.
    5. Keeping the bed linen free of dead skin- in other words, change bed linen often.

In my experience, continued use of ointments and lotions prescribed by the dermatologist does give results, but the entire regimen is time consuming- like one to applied before bath, one after, one at bed time, one before stepping out...it's difficult after a few days to be regular at it, more so we need someone else to apply it on our back.

But i have found the 5 points mentioned above , coupled with a cheerful positive mind does the trick.

yes , certainly from experience. Both my daughters went through this condition. One is out of it, thankfully and the other is in the process of it. But it's a slow recovery as they haven't been regular in the application of creams and lotion. Being outdoor and indulging in activities that make one sweat is most recommended by dermatologists.

I don't have any body acne now. But faced similar situation 12 years back.. But it was only on upper back area. I got this after a severe gastric acidicity episode( reason ; milk, two glass per day was too much for me ). So I believe it is the side effect of my intesitinal problem . Consulted specialists and took medicines to fix it. That's is when pimple like sores appeared.
Make sure you dont have any stomach issues. My dermatologist gave me lotions ,ointments plus medicines to take. It took me some time to get rid of the ailment. Still there are some marks as skin is very slow to react.

Please consult a dermatologist and also watch your diet.

Hi Poi98, I was diagnosed with pcos several years ago too.. and you probably know that this condition is primarily due to hormonal imbalance and fluctuations. Interestingly I have all other symptoms but don't have acne ; I occasionally get it but mostly due to stress and nothing extreme like you describe. just want to provide a perspective as I have the same condition.
