I was/am always happy to be born as a girl. But I never understood why till I conceived.

The thought of nurturing a life inside me.. it was an amazing feeling.
The slight movements of the baby from inside..
The fluttering butterflies in the tummy whenever he turns..
The feel of the little fist scraping the stomach wall..
    The naughty kicks..
    The nausea..
    The privileged discomfort
    The blissful nine months..
    The content heart..
    The serenity..
    And then the unparalleled contractions..
    The perfect pain..
    The pride..
The nursing for the first time ever..

That's when I fully understood why I LOV being a Girl
Despite the minor discriminations I faced for not being a Boy!
I even felt / feel sorry for my DH -
He could never get to experience it firsthand..
Alas.. he is NOT a Girl!

:yes:I am very much happy and proud of being born as girl becoz

    * the Love, care and the pamperings from loved ones are definetely somethin more for girls than for boys
    * yes , awesome dress collections and varieties frocks, sarees, chudidar, pavadai sattai, lehangas, skirts, kurtis etc etc...men,mmmmmm...same old pant shirts kurtas, tats it...
    * We are more mature, responsible and strong mentally compared to men...i feel really proud to say this :2thumbsup:

I remember a tamiz saying which states "It is rare to be born as a human...even if born human it is scarce to be born without having any impairments" but i would also like to add a line with this "and even more scarce is to be born as girl...it is a :gift to be a women":cheers

    hi mstrue

ystdy i was going thru ur thread about "Tangent Remarks".

So today you changed ur avatar!!!!!!!!!!. hey u were beautiful and gorgeous.
The current avatar is of your baby girl or boy???

Ok ok, i am off the mark, :))))) i am coming back to your original question in this thread.

I think the question will have different answers depending upon the perspective and environment wherein girls are born and brought.

As far as we, we will say we are happy to be girl, since we are cherished, loved, valued and equaled like boys.

But pose this questions, to the rural girls in rajasthan or gujarat, where they are stopped from going to school, so that they can help in bringing water from far away places, somewhere girls are married so that they get money from the boys side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can go on listing ...............
