Do you know what Golgappa or Panipuri called in West Bengal

    Hey Friends,
    I am new in Indualadies.....

    Thought of sharing something with you all.
    We all know about Golgappe,,,,and Panipuri....
    Do you they are called "Fuchka" in Kolkata and most of the parts in West Bengal......I would really like to know if this famous panipuri has any other name also which is used in any part of India or so..

    You are right...I remember from my friend that they call "Pani Puri" as "Phhuchka." in Kolkatta.

    Yes, it is known as phoochka in Kolkatta and even in parts of Orissa, where I spent my childhood. I hear in Orissa, some know it as Gupchup...

    OMG...I am already drooling...for that spicy tangy snacks Drowning..

    In Hyderabad, I have seen one of the sweet shops putting up a hoarding... Saying "Water Balls" :) with a pic of paani puri .. I guess this is the English translation of our favourite Paani Puri:rotfl
