    Dear coolpie
    Nicely researched article.
I have read in some holy book that if a person eats animals in this life, then in his/her next life he/she would acquire an animal's body and it's flesh would be eaten in exactly the same fashion as he/she had eaten the animal in the previous birth.

We should consciously make endeavors to make our life full of Sattva qualities so that our next birth is even better. People with especially Tamas quality are destined hellish lives after this birth (according to Garuda Purana and Bhagvad Gita).

Today i.e. June 05 is Pandava Nirjala Ekadashi. Here in North, we observe complete fasting even from water for the whole day and break fast the other day after sunrise by drinking water.

This day carries lots n lots of merits. Even if not fasting, one must donate water, sherbet, fruits to poor and needy. It bestows blessings from the needy as well as God.

but can anyone tell me how to get rig of enemies- if they are in numerous nbrs and all are after you harrasing you mentally and making your life insecured? and you are helpless........as you cannot catch them?
How is it related to Karma, and how to change this situation and make life secured?

    Dear dc24,
It's always good to fast on ekadashi. Saint Mahaperiyava, Sri Raghavendraswamy and a few other saints have recommended the same as it destroys sin or papa and bestows merits or punya.
As we all know that observing a complete fast even without drinking water is the best way to observe ekadasi.

    Dear dimple7,
The circumstances of being amongst enemies is just a karmic reward for some bad karma that was already created by you in the past or in the past births.

There are many ways to overcome this. Here are a few ones.
    1. By believing strongly that your enemies will turn as friends soon. This should be imposed on your mind again and again to make you beleive that such a situation will occur in your life. This can be done by framing positive affirmations and imposing on the mind again and again everyday.

    2. By praying to God/Saints sincerely with complete Faith that He ll solve your problem soon no matter how worse the situation might be right now.

    3. Praying and fasting to God or Saints with devotion and complete faith again.

If you note the solutions to your problem in the above methods, one thing is commonly required in all. That is faith or complete belief as you call it. Irrespective of your belief in God/Saints, if you just have a strong faith that your enemies will turn friends soon, it will definitely happen. The strong belief that buries itself in to the subconscious mind always manifests exactly as how it was conceived whether good or bad. The subconscious mind cannot differentiate between good and bad things, it can only manifest what was believed.

    Dear coolpie
Yes...rightly said. So many saints recommended observing Ekadashi fasting. Lord Krishna Himself said in Bhagvad Gita- "amongst days I'm Ekadashi."
Yes, we must observe all 24 Ekadashis in an year. There are two more Ekadashis which come every 3-4 years during Purushottan month.
Observing Ekadashi fasting is very very effective and sure shot way of dissolving one's karma.
If everyone agrees and those who are interested ....we can even form a support group for people who are interested in Ekadashi fasting. We can also undertake relay writing of Lord's name on that day.
    Any suggestions are welcome...

    Dear dc24,
I welcome your idea on the subject of ekadashi fasting.
It would be nice if such a support group or thread existed. Please create one and post rules of ekadashi fasting. As you said, we can also write the name of Lord on that day. Its a form of Likhita japa too.

    Dear coolpie
I guess this thread would be equally good too. Absolutely no problem in starting a new thread...but here also we can discuss Ekadashi. A day before Ekadashi, we can post the information and start likhit nama jap.
    Please suggest.

    Dear dc24,

Yes, this thread would be fine to include discussion on ekadashi and also likhit nama Jap. Whatever karma reduction/dissolving techniques exist can also be discussed at length. And things related to karma like fasting, jap, mantras etc can also be included. Any other known techniques can also be suggested.

I hope ILs ll find it useful.
