Shanthi, Since these are not compostable, the paper may end up clogging the tanks or rivers for that matter. While it is ok to listen to what some religious leaders say on things, I feel perhaps we should also consider to think about environmental clogging of tanks/rivers. Trying to balance sentimental with practicality. Just a thought - 2 cents :my2cents
Pictures are just that - Pictures. Putting them especially complete with frames can pose a hazard to users of the waterways. There is no need to have any guilt in disposing of them.
