    Hi Ladies,

How to incorporate fruits in Indian cooking? I know avocado chapathi. Any more bright ideas?

She is not at all interested in fruit smoothies. she is simply refusing to even taste it. I tried it several times and gave up.

    I am worried..pls help me.

    Hi Sailajah

I have included fruits like Apple and berry in the Dal I cook for my 18 months old. He does eat fruits that way. Also i mash the Bananas in the morning toddler cereals that I give him.

    You can try Banana,blueberries muffins
or add pureed blueberries, strawberries, banana to dosa batter and make dosas.

As some kids take it if its in curd rice ( i add pomegranate, grapes and apple) its maybe a good trick to hide fruits in between some other veggies or mixed with rice.

I like the dosa batter and muffin tip, will keep that in mind. Another one cud be pancakes or maybe homemade cereal bars and ladoos, even if you just add dry fruits it might bring your lo slowly on the track of taste ;)

You tried to create funny faces with them or put some as funny animal looking like decoration on ice cream? like banana for mouth, grape / blueberry for eye, strawberry nose etc.???? some kids like it (saw that more often with veggies actually). Sometimes it helps too to allow them to help preparing them and telling them this is a job for biiiig kids and how great they do it... kids sometimes eat food better if they helped preparing or doing something themselfs coz they´re proud of their work.
