Difference of opinion with DH

From last couple of days, we are not getting along with each other. During every small argument my dh keeps telling me that “I’m giving him lot of headache”. Today morning I asked why he keeps saying this to me. The reason he mentioned was I’m not open minded. I don’t take his opinion. I just exert my opinion based only on my thoughts or some third person’s suggestion. These are related to organizing in the house. He quoted couple of examples: There is a beautiful painting hung on bright colored fireplace. I told that both are beautiful but they don’t pair well together. He has beautifully designed patio and he dumps all his garden tools there in a big box. Yesterday I argued with him that he should arrange to keep these tools somewhere else so the patio will look clean and nice. I admit that I too did some mistakes like I wanted exercise equipment and brought it, only to realize that I don’t use that much and it takes huge real estate space. Somehow I managed to sell to my purchase price. He was upset about the pain he took to find this deal and assemble the equipment

It might seem a small issue for outsiders but it’s really drifting us apart. I really want to fix this issue and live a happy life with him.

ha ha this sounds so familiar....!! I work 6 days a week...and would like some things clean on sunday...ie, I expect DH to clear laundry etc on Saturday which is off for him...so whenever I remind him ('nag' acc to him..) he tells me I am doing "khat khat" ...

Ofcourse I can never figure out why he says that,,,in fact one of my mariied friend couple was visiting us..we jokingly complied a list of words men use in fights to describe their wives...
our list went something like this...

" you are doing so much khat khat"
"so much Kich kich"
"so much chikh chikh.."
"so much Khit khit.."

Regarding your fight dont worry, it happens with most of us...Give it sme time and space t each other...and get back to doing something that u both enjoy after a day or 2, eg movie on weekend...and things will fall into place...

for eg, fo us food/ eating ut is a great leveller..!

house cannot be clean and be like exhibition all the time. I have experienced the same, I like to keep it clean...but my DH and kids like to leave things...it used bring lots of harsh coversation between me and my dh...later I realized my house can never be exhibition hall or museum...if it is house...things will be here n there...that is what is house with real family...now no more shoutings...my dh also realized some cleanilness...and tries to keep stuff where it needs to be. Life is too short..enjoy thoroughly with your family.

These are very common issues in every household. Time will heal everything. On lighter note give him that thing more which makes him happy like his favourite food & XXX you know what I mean.....

hehehhe..classic tutu mein mein. Ignore him! take a picture of the patio and put in his facebook. his friends will tell him how dirty it looks
