Diabetes-ii.... A Grim Side Effect Of Certain Blood Sugar Control Drugs

We (in India) suffer from an increased incidence of Obesity, and Diabetes. Diet and Exercise are the first steps to combat these. And then come drugs. Recently I saw a report (Bloomberg summary) of an ongoing side effect of certain of these drugs sold by EliLilly, Astrazenaca and J&J. Although the side effect of urinary tract infections was known for a lot of these blood sugar control drugs, this is the first time I read about bacterial infections that are like gangrene. Grim. If you know anyone who is taking that daily tablet, ask them to check if it is one of these brands. Link to Article.
