I had been to Haridwar, Badrinath and Rishikesh. Very beautiful pilgrimage places. Haridwar is on the lower level where lot of devotees come to take a dip in Ganga and to see the temple, poojas. We can reach this place from Dehradun via train. Rishikesh is on top of Haridwar . We can see famous Ram Jhula and Lakshman Jula built on Ganga river and temples. Badrinath is on top of Rishikesh and trip is long by bus. The roads are narrow and is a hill drive with lots of turns. One side we can see hill, other side of window we can see Ganga flowing in the course of journey. Its a chilly place, so we have to take warm clothes with us. We can see Badrinath temple and the river Ganga,very scenic place. Roads are closed in winter. So you can plan this trip only in summer. You can find more details in wiki and by googling.
