Crochet Baby sweater Pattern:

This pattern is worked from neck to the base all in a single piece. The sleeves are attached later.

I used 3 ply wool and No. 10 Pony needle.

Cast on 65 chains.

Line 1 : 2 chain to turn 2dc, 2dc in 3rd chain from hook, *2dc, 2dc in the next chain* rpt from * to end of the row.

Line 2: 2 ch to turn 1 dc in each dc

Line 3: 2 ch to turn 3dc, 2dc in the next dc, * 4dc, 2dc in the next chain* rpt from * to end of the row.

Line 4: 2 ch to turn 1 dc in each dc

Line5: 2 ch to turn 4dc 2dc in the next dc, * 5dc, 2dc in the next chain* rpt from * to end of the row.

Line 6: 2 ch to turn 1 dc in each dc

Line 7: 2 ch to turn 5dc, 2dc in the next dc, * 6dc, 2dc in the next chain* rpt from * to end of the row.

Line 8:2 ch to turn 1 dc in each dc

Line 9:2ch to turn, 11 dc ,2dc in the next dc, * 12dc, 2dc in the next chain* rpt from * to end of the row.

Line 10: 2 ch to turn 1 dc in each dc (149 dc in all)

Line 11: 2 ch to turn, 1 dc , *1 ch 2dc in next 2 dc 1ch 2dc in the next 2 dc 1 ch skip 2 dc* rpt from * till last 2 dc 2 dc

Line 12: 2ch to turn 1dc * 1ch 2dc1ch 2dc*( in the middle of 2dc1ch2dc of the previous row. This forms the shell pattern) rpt from * to last dc, 2dc

Line 13: Repeat row 12 once.

Line 14: This is the row where the flowers are now split to shape the front, sleeves and the back of the sweater.
5 shells for the front+8 for the sleeve+ 10 for the back+ 8 for the other sleeve+ 5 for the other front.

2ch to turn, 1dc, do 5 shells skip 8 shells and continue with the 10 shells of the back skip 8 for the left sleeve and continue with the 5 shells of the left front.

Repeat line 14, 8 times till you reach line 22

Line 23.: 2ch to turn 1dc* 3dc 1ch 3dc * rpt till end of row.

Repeat Line 23, 6 times till line you reach row 29

Line 30: 2 ch to turn 1dc and do 8 dc in each shell till last 2 dc, 2dc fasten off and weave the ends in

Sleeve:

Join thread underarm 3 ch 2dc 1ch 2dc in the 14 line 5th shell and work in round till you join back to the 3ch . Repeat the pattern by moving up to the next row each time and work for 12 rows.

13th Line: Do th e shells without a ch in between

14 Line: do 1sc1dc1sc in each shell. Fasten off

Work the other sleeve likewise.

Stitch press buttons along the 2dc of the sweater.
