There is no such thing as anonymity on the internet they say. I don't want to create more trouble for her than she already has in her plate. Can't put out the a****** prof's name.

She can't go be with her son who is now quarantined. I can't go meet her. @$#%$ &^%%$^

Such people should be fired immediately and not allowed any pension, and not allowed to remain on any boards, nothing.

One of the plus sides of liberal institutions is the healthy student activism. A word to the right ears might be helpful in naming and shaming this professor.

That is USS Theo Roosevelt, a nuclear powered aircraft carrier with about 80 Covid-19 cases, and a crew of 5000. Such ships are not designed for self-isolating environment for many except the highest officers. They are all packed in like sardines onboard. Massively worse conditions than a cruise ship. Currently the ship is docked at Guam in the pacific, an island that does not have the kind of medical facilities to take care of the potential cases from this ship.

We have to watch this situation, and hope for a good outcome.

Because of age, third of US doctors prone to worse COVID-19

Nearly one in three licensed doctors in the United States is older than 60 years, an age-group particularly vulnerable to adverse outcomes from COVID-19, according to a study published today on the preprint server medRxiv. And New York and California, two hard-hit states, have the most older physicians.
    ..........
    the country's 985,026 licensed doctors, 235,857 (23.9%) are 25 to 40 years old, 447,052 (45.4%) are 40 to 60, 191,794 (19.5%) are 60 to 70, and 106,121 (10.8%) are 70 or older. Age was not reported in 4,202 (0.4%) of doctors.

Overall, 297,915 (30.2%) of physicians are 60 years and older. According to state reports, a median of 5,470 licensed physicians (interquartile range [IQR], 2,394 to 10,108) are 60 years or older.

The kid was quarantined only when waiting for the results which thankfully came back negative. The prof has finally postponed the course to the next semester. Maybe he realized he is no spring-chicken and is in a high-risk demographic.

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/03/us/costa-luminosa-passengers-ordeal/index.html

A Florida man dies days after hundreds of people exposed to coronavirus walked around the world's busiest airport.
Tom Sheehan, 68, was fighting for his life in Sarasota, Florida, with what he thought was bronchitis, but turned out to be Covid-19. He was hospitalized on March 21, a day after he returned from a cruise on the Costa Luminosa.
What was supposed to be an adventure of a lifetime started with a coronavirus outbreak at sea and ended with him and hundreds of others on a chartered flight to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. After hours of prolonged exposure with infected people, health officials cleared hundreds of passengers, leaving potential patients moving freely in the world's busiest airport.
Sheehan and his wife had set sail from South Florida on March 5. But their cruise to Puerto Rico, Antigua, Spain and France appeared doomed from the start.

Why do they blame the crowded airport and other infected people when a 68 year old man and his wife choose to take a cruise that started on March 5th. Exactly at that time, Carnival's Grand Princess ship was circling the coast of California for days in limbo, until finally Oakland city agreed to let it dock at one of their port on March 9th.
