    Hi dear Il ites ,

recently my DH brought a pack of corn & imported olive blend cooking oil from kaleeswari brand for this months grocery.

i thought of using it for my hairs too [ sounds crazy na ??] to arrest my hair fall & for shiny look . the oil is odourless , slightly thicker than coconut oil . agmark graded . contains vitamin E & omega 3 & 6.
    the ratio is corn 75 % & imported olive oil is 25 % .

you all know iam lil bit experimental type & i become tempted , started applying it on my hair for the past 2 days. so far no negatives .

i tried this oil with a fewdrops of glycerine [ ofcourse after a patch test ] on my face & getting very good results.

my doubt here is , is there any hard & fast rule that cooking oil should not be used for tresses ???
after reading its benefits , atleast i want to use this for massage on the headbath day.

is my idea ok ?? shall i go ahead ??

what do you all say ???

I am 100% sure that Olive oil is good for the hair and many experts suggest that.I apply warm olive oil once in a month or so before washing my hair.Otherwise no idea.

yep I do apply olive oil to hair and also to body once in a while. Specially during winter after head bath just drops of olive oil rubbed on to wet hair..makes the hair more moisturised...(in summer I wont prefer leaving it on though)...but do get hair massage done with olive oil once in a while..you will see the difference in thickness of your hair...volume of hair surely increases.

No doubt using olive oil is good for hair growth as other IL frnds hv mentioned..

U can also use corn+olive oil combination.. Its a excellent conditioner for hair... For good results use hot oil massage...

    soumya ,

thanks for the first response .,,,, & its positive too . lemme wait & see my body[ head ] reaction!

    vidya ,

yday b4 headbath i massaged sum oil [ not hot ] on my hair.

my hair was so softier & silkier than before. really the comb was gliding ..

but i have to wait & see atleast for a week , whether it causes any dandruff or headache like that.

oh , volume & thickness increases !!!! that is the need of the hour yaar !
iam thankful for your sincere reply dear !

    dolly ,

rightly said .....yes , its a good conditioner .thatswhy yday it was so smooth & silky. normally i use conditioner , but yday , no , didnt.
by all your positive responses , i feel tht i shd continue using it .
my heartfelt thanks for your suggestion .

iam thinking to mix it with coconut oil to make it lighter & for more penetration properties. twice a week iam using parachute hair vitaliser also with visible difference.
by all these , iam confident that i would regain my old thick volume hair & arrest hairfall. hoping for the best .
