    Hi Friends,
Please suggest if greens can be cooked on pooja days like krithika, amavasai, thiruvathira and also on weekdays like tuesday, friday etc ?

What is the reason behind such belief ?
On which days is it allowed to cook greens ?

    Thanks in advance
    Ambika

    Ambika,

on these festive days , you have more items to be cooked. greens take a long time to be cleaned and cut(talking in those days of joint families).

Moreover greens don't go well with certain stuff, and there is the risk of forming oxalates.

The same people made you eat greens at least once a week, saying it was auspicious to cook greens on friday.
