If you strain you might end up getting hamerrohoids..Instead include lots of fresh fruits and water in your diet. Sometimes milk at bed time might be the cause. So try to drink milk earlier in the evening rather than at bed time. Eat high fiber fruits and leafy vegetables. Make a point to drink atleast 2-3 ltrs of water everyday. If you can get prune juice, that's the best. It helps a lot in releiving constipation. If the problem persists then take a stool softener. Hope you feel better!
