I had posted a thread before about this and put my child in both bharatnatyam and ballet combo. She did quite well in both but finally we thought giving one form Of dance is good than mixing it up.

So we put her in ballet thinking she might quit Sooner or later as she was asking about it a lot seeing cartoon videos. We thought she was attracted by the costumes and want her to get it out of her system.

Now she goes to that class and when I want to pull her out and put her in classical ..she said wanted Ballet as she enjoys it OR put her in a mix of both(which did not work Well as we tried it before.)

I don’t know how to react.I learnt classical but honestly I Prefer fusion or western myself but want to put her in classy on the safer side as most Indian parents do that and it feels odd to put my child in ballet.I am scared as she grows older she will lose the time to learn bharatnatyam...

How do I convince her or myself?

She likes ballet, I think. Put her in that. Later if she wants to change., you can move to bharatanatyam.
Studies, career or hobby should be according to what the kid wants.
