Maturity is aplomb despite storms and hurricane around. It is to remain unperturbed despite subtle adverse insinuation comments in all forms including on social websites such as FB...it is to remain like a saint neither related nor experience sadness but only equanimity. Maturity centres around essence of one's experience in life.
Thus it follows maturity is a huge compound of varities of virtues - As depicted In Ramayana of Lord Rama.
Maturity is to be like not childish not puerile

 

Maturity is learning lessons from our mistakes as well as others, not excessively celebrating successes, knowing winning arguments achieve nothing beneficial, standing up for righteousness of ourselves and others, stable mind in all conditions, and knowing only thing we can change is how we react to situations.

 

Simply put emotional maturity is not reacting but responding in all situations including crisis and also at times maintain stoic silence. But that again comes only when one comes of age and gaining experience in mundane matters. Maturity may not be imbibed by only reading books or browsing the net or surfing the channels. It has to come through live experiences. Successful people are seen with humility and that is emotional maturity.
