    Dear krishnamma

    please help me. I am on my 6th day of gm diet. I was able to do these days only with the help of the [COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif][COLOR=blue! important][FONT=verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif]soup[/FONT][/FONT][/COLOR][/COLOR] . I prepared the soup just like we do normal rasam without tempering it. Now after the 5 th day is over i have got cold and caugh headache like sinus. May be because of the too much consumption of tomatoes.

    Can u plz. suggest me a soup without tomatoes . I checked your low calorie soup recipes. I mainly need to know the powders which would make the soup tastier. Is that so all the soups will be very watery. Can we add oats or corn flour to make it thick. But hope in gm diet we are not suppose to use it.

    Plz. mam suggest me a tasty soup. Without soup i can not continue gm plz.

    Dear Shakila banu,

    dont worry. Because of tomatoes you wont get cold. But if you feel like you can avoid them. You can prepare many soups with out tomato. Please go through the Low cal./Low fat soup thread. You can make Low cal. veg. soup, dal and veg. soup, corn soup and for mixed veg. soup, you can avoid tomato and prepare.
    Generally if you use cucumber or water melon you will get cold.
    Try these soups and you will feel relaxed. Add more black pepper and take. Black pepper will cure cold and caugh. Hope this will help you.
    All the best to finish you GM diet.:2thumbsup:
    To make it thick you can use dal, because you are on 6th day.

    Thank You very much maam I used dhal i prepared just like sambhar without adding tomatoes and without tempering it. Today is the 7 th day and almost getting over. Thank You . Bye.

    Which Castor oil to be used for cooking the dal varieties esp. Thuval dal.

    Dear Nandhini,


    You can use odder less oil. But it is not compulsory to use castor oil. You can use any cooking oil or ghee to cook dal.

    May I know where Sodium Benzoate is available. Is it available in Panda or Geant. Please Help. Thanx.

    Ok maam let me try in panda actually i prepared tomato pickle from chitra maam recipe and there she has mentioned about sodium benzoate. Since you are also in saudi You might be knowing well .Thank You very much maam.

    Hi banu,

    You can call me as Krishnaamma, no 'mam' please. I will not use any preservatives in my cooking. Hardly I use 'cooking soda' for appam or some times for idly in winter. That is all.
