COCONUT MILK RASAM ( KOBBARIPAALU PULUSU ) Ingredients Coconut : 1 Onions : ½ Kg Drumsticks : 3 Turmeric Powder : ¼ Tsp Lemon Juice : 1 Cup Salt : As per taste Method 1. Scrape the coconut and extract milk from it. Keep the first milk separately and rest of the thin coconut milk separately. 2. Slice onions into round in shape and cut drumsticks into 2 inch pieces. Boil both of them with a pinch of turmeric powder until drumsticks are soft and onions are translucent with just enough water for boiling. 3. Add the thin coconut milk and let it boil. 4. When it boils thoroughly add the thick of the coconut milk and the rest of the turmeric powder. Let it boil thoroughly for 2 min , keep stirring and put off the flame. 5. Let it rest for a minute or two and add salt and lemon juice and mix well. 6. Serve hot with steaming hot rice or eliminate the drumsticks and it can served as soup. Coconut Milk : Scrape coconut and add warm water and blend in a liquidizer. Take out the extract. Repeat the process until thin, clear liquid comes.
