Our shower curtain(the plastic sheet that sits as an inside layer towards the bath tub) tends to accumulate dirt(scum) due to soap/oil etc., and I have a washing brush exclusively for that and brush it and wash the curtain (which is hanging) once in a while. Is that how everyone does it? I do change the shower curtain twice an year.

Just wanted to know how people manage this??

I have the same question too.
Mine is transparent liner and it gets dirty quite often. I try to spray some cleaning fluid and rub with scotch - brite (not much use though). apparently i keep changing it twice a yr.

    any suggestions would be helpful.

    Hi,
I dispose off these liners when they get dirty. I do not feel its worth wasting your time and energy cleaning them

take a spray bottle. fill it 1/4 bleach and 3/4 water. open windows, spray the curtains well with the bleach solution. leave for 1/2 hour and voila! curtains should be clean

I am with pmahensa here - I do the same except that I do before my bath so that I can spray with water to clean up while showering. That helps - for thicker liners Ihave occassionally used the washer but they always come out with a streak left.
