    Thanks, Nitha!! The closest close up is soooooooooooo tempting!!Since it is an authentic recipe from one who celebrates Ramzan making this, it makes all the difference with dates et al :tongue

    Hi Chittumma,

    Today tried aval Puttu...It came very soft, i added some extra nuts and dry fruit to it.
    Made with red Aval, less jaggery and had it for breakfast, can able to do it super fast and easy recipe with tempting flavour.

    Dear Chithra,
    made upma with kudiraivali 2 days back, with small onions, Added 3 cups water and it was good. It tasted nearly as rice kurunai only. Yesterday for dinner, made morkuzhambu idli with left over kuzhambu from lunch. Since A is here for good, I make something interesting everyday for dinner. I plan to avoid rice for dinner and use millets or wheat.

    The one big advantage of using millets is to keep a check on obesity & diabetes.

    Dear C,
    I made apple crumble dessert yesterday night. With little ice cream on the side, the combination was great.
    Didn't notice camera was out of battery, could not take picture. I am sure I will repeat this soon. Have couple of guest visits. Thanks a lot.

    Also prepared Kichdi dhal for roti. Very yummy with zero effort in cooking.
