Dear S-s, when you use the grinder, it is best to grind 2 batters!
What you write is the speciality of SI cooking!! Though subtle, milaku kuzambu & vtha kuzambu are different in taste!!
Rayar sambar is nothing but gama gama! :drool.

Yes, aswini - all you need to do is to blend them make parathas. Eat it with raitha - less work for you at present, but great taste!!:thumbsup

Thanks, Sowmi. Peanuts give the necessary crunch to the "docile" potatoes!! Ideal for children because of the carbohydrates!!

    Dear Chitraamma,

I have been extensively tring out your recipes for a long time as a silent reader. Now Iam here to share my feedbacks.

Iam not able to have masala items. So all I want is traditional food and your index helped me a lot :bowdown

    I have made sambar podi,rasa podi.made CVVK,kalyana rasam,wheat halwa(pressure cooker),caramel payasam,pulav,all koottus from your list.
me being a sweet lover, all your sweet receipes are easy to follow.

Just made Beetroot Koottu http://www.indusladies.com/forums/25209-post115.html .superb taste.I never had much love for beetroot. This one masked the beetroot raw smell.I had poured excess water while boiling and had it as a soup too(with sambar powder, tamarind it tasted awesome).

noted down so many things from your list.Need to make everything asap!:crazy

As someone mentioned, the biggest adavnatage is you have neatly given the ingredients with exact measurement. It makes the job easier:bowdown

    Thanks a lot!!

    Dear Chitramma,

Made Aappam for today's breakfast. Paired with Channa (South Indian Way). The combi was awesome. If its Idly or Dosa my DH will have a two or 3, but wow today he had 5!! I too had 3 :) Superb combination :thumbsup

    Dear Chitramma

Tons of thanks and love to you!

You give thousands of recipes and guidance to us.

Will u please clarify, the difference between cookies and biscuits?

One bakery item like the biscuits, white in colour not crispy smoothy, we usually called as vennai biscuit in Tirunelveli not the butter biscuits available in chennai tea stalls.

It comes in all shapes round, square, sometimes even yellow in colour double coloured etc
It wont be in brown in colour not like the brittania sunfeast biscuits in texture!

Could you please give the recipe for that? and the name also?

I will be grateful to you if you can help me!

    Regards
    Selvi

You are a sweet lover? Your name says it all!
When you like beetroot kootu, you would surely like beetroot raitha with crushed peanuts.
    Thanks for the nice FB!!

    Dear Selvi,
Welcome to my forum & thanks for the nice words!!
As far as I know, biscuits & cookies are similar. Cookie is perhaps a wee bit thick & not overly crisp.
Please refer to the Benne Biscuit - it is vennai biscuit of Karnataka.
If you arrange to get me Tirunelveli Vennai biscuit, I will try after tasting it!!:biggrin2:
