Dear Deepa, making puris is a thankless job. So I have never attempted it.I just have to walk one km to reach the nearest Bombay Halwa House to buy fresh golgoppas made on a daily basis! :)
You are into parathas, I can see!! Great going :thumbsup

    Dear mami,

Yesterday being arudhra darshanam, made Thiruvathirai kali . Since I didnt have time to soak moong dal for 1 hour, as I made this after taking bath, since it is for neivedhyam, Used kutti cooker (1.5 ltr) and with 2 whistles it became soft and right padam. The idea of buying this kutti cooker came only after your highlighting the advantages in using this and is a regular in my house now for such things. The kali came out superb , proportions were perfect and was relished by all. I couldnt find your link for ezhukari kootu, so made meenakshiammal recipe. I could see only poduthuval link with thiruvathirai kali.

    Thanks mami

    dearest chitra mami

kids have winter break, so trying to work from home while managing them as well. so as usual cooking is "just hustle something up" .. kind of living off the freezer stock - parupu usili, frozen dosai batter, frozen sambar .. yest was pasta with frozen pasta sauce. i am glad i have a huge fridge and also glad i took the time to freeze some things along the way. ur home made pasta sauce tasted soooo yummy and dinner was ready in 10 mins.

    Dear Mam,

tried the "keerai vadai" for evening snack today and repeated the "Green pulao" with raita for the dinner .both tasted very good and vadai esp was easy to prepare(with the food proc its easy peasy job to prepare vadais) and was the perfect snack for the cold evening.satisfying part was that i could use the greens too.

    attached the vadais here.

thanks for all the tasty recipes for all seasons.

    love
    raji
