Hi all, Can anybody let me know the 2nd language syllabus taught in CBSE schools ? Does it starts from std 1 itself ? what about 3rd language ? does all the CBSE schools follow the same pattern ? thank you geetha
hi geetha, The 2nd language is taught from 1st standard in most schools. and in some it starts from ukg. (If it is hindi there is A - from ukg and there is B starts from ist. third language from 6th as per cbse board. but some schools do deviate Ncert had online books to download. but it has removed the option for some reason. but if you want i can give a link for tamilnadu online text books..for a just check....and will come with any website that has for 6th. i know only of the www. which help 9 and 10th..
Hi shanthi, nice to meet you after a long time.. my parents hv bought appl form for my son in MCC (madras christian college school), near chetpet. This school offers french as 2nd lang from 6th grade onwards. Though, this school is not at its best, based on the 2nd lang problem, we thought this school will help him to some extent. Whats your comment on this ? for my daughter, we are seeking admission in Kola Saraswathi school, Kilpauk.. thought of posting you the latest from my side geetha
hey geetha, Sorry for not replying immediately.. have not been well...so had to log in to help out other parents and il's who are into admissions... One thing I would like to tell you on the onset...Don't put too much expectations on the standards of the schools...when you are coming in from US. just be open for whatever is there...and also keep your kids prepared... As I told you there are very few schools that have french from 6th..Very few schools are still holding out on the reputations... both the schools seem good...but only personally heard about kola saraswathi heard it is ok. all the best.....
