hi :hiya i want to learn C,C++ language , can i learn to programming myself iam not even literate enough in this languages but iam very interested in learning and programming ..... where can i get material to teach myself please pour ur ideas please, please:bowdown lots of thanks hana:coffee
Hi abcmart, No one can teach you good programming than yourself :thumbsup believe me... Just google for c or c++ tutorials you will get ample materials.. From where you can learn from basics.. Practise a lot by doing simple projects.. All the best
There are so many basic learning websites in Google. Please refer it. Try installing C language in ur system and use it practically. All the best. I have seen many people entered in IT industry with self study.
Hi abcmart, Yeah, you can learn yourself..C is a very simple language with only few concepts. Yashwant Kanetkar's "Let Us C" is a very simple book to start learning C. I am not sure whether u get that book in australia. Search online, may be you will be able to download that book feom some book sharing site. The C Programming Language by K&R(Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie) is known as the Bible of C. But it may be hard to follow for a beginner. Kanetkar's "Let Us C++" is also simple book to start C++. Thinking In C++ by Bruce Eckel is a very good book to learn C++. He uses very simple language. I have learned C++ myself by reading this book. It has 2 volumes. First volume has all important concepts. Second volume captures more advanced concepts. You can find these books online Bruce Eckel's MindView, Inc: Thinking in C++ 2nd Edition by Bruce Eckel There are many free C/C++ compilers are availbale on net. You can download one. Bloodshed Dev C++ is a good compiler. Its free s/w. If you want to enter into the IT sector, I doubt if C or C++ is a good choice. C/C++ is only used by a few core programming companies. so the opportunities will be less. Also, there won't be many openings for a beginner, unless you are fresh out of college. . I think Java or .NET or C# might be good choice. All the best.:thumbsup
Is it possible to break into IT sector after doing some course? I mean for a completely non-IT non-technical person whose only skill with computers is browsing the internet and using the pc for day to day word, excel and photoshop needs? What kind of course would best suit such a person? How are the jobs in Bangalore for a person with newly learned IT skills and does it matter if you are a late bloomer in this field? Starting at 27-28? What would be better for a person like me, to take up some IT course or to look for jobs in fields like technical writing? How hard wouyld it be for me to get a job in technical writing field in Bangalore?
Hi Nithya, Please enquire about some Datawarehousing courses. Tools like cognos/informatica.. I have seen people(without tech background) are doing it for entering into IT. I don't know much about them..
