Can I eat raw sprouted moong dal?

    I always avoid spouted moong dal because of gastric problem. But now I will have by steaming it. Thanks for your tips.

    Mals, Imade a note of your sprouts salad.
    I have a query to all of you here. Are the nutrient contents lost when we boil the sprouted grams ? I saw the suggestion to boil it partially, but what if I want it full boiled ?
    I have had this doubt for a long time. Kindly share you knowledge dear ILs.

    Why not?
    Add some tomatoes,capsicum,greenchillies,onions & a squeeze of lime with little pepper,salt.
    You will have a wonderful salad n great for health.

    Therecipe for sprouted moong salad appears to be delicious and I will try in your method . You have stated that it is equivalent to a full meal . Can i eat it at night for dinner Becuase I eat simply raw sprouts in the morning only.

    Hi Kavitha, Sprouted mug breakfast is good breakfast in the morning.Put little oil,add jeera & karipatta & hind.Add grated garlic & ginger & chopped green chilli after that add sprouted mug beans.After that all masala like haldi,coriander powder & salt.Mix well after that cover & cook for some time.After that add sugar & lime juice.& coriander leaves.

    Hi,
    Sprouted Moong does create some amount of gas but a sprinkle of pepper and salt along with lemon juice can stop the gas from coming.

    Hi all,

    Am new to Indus ladies.Well I was searching for the moong dal sprouts thread n i found this one....kewl....Actually am trying to lose weight n thot of having moong dal sprouts as breakfast and also the first thing in the morning.....can anyone please suggest me if thats a good idea....will that help me in losing weight.
