Can H4 Indian Wives work from Home?

You cant work in US with H4 visa status. It is legally not permitted. But u can study. You dont need any student visa. But so far as i know ppl say you have to pay 3 to 10 times the fees which a normal student would pay to the college.....

I am also on H4 for more than 2yrs., most of the time I am busy with my two toddlers, my painting and scrapbooking hobbies. Inspite of this I would want to do something from home. I just wanted to know if I could do something like catering for Indians-- day to day food for people who generally do not cook at home--- can I do something like this on H4 --- someone who knows abt. it could u pl.let me know.

I just want to remind all you H4 wives out there that it is illegal to work (i.e. make money from providing a service) as long as you're on an H4 visa. This doesn't mean you can't work, or that some H4 wives don't work in some way. But whatever work you're doing would be illegal. I'm not sure how you might be caught, or what the repercussions would be, but I think it's something to keep in mind. You should be fully aware that if you do manage to find a money-making opportunity, should you be found out by the authorities, they would not accept ignorance of the law as an excuse. It may seem like an unfair law, but it is the law here. Please be careful, whatever you decide to do.

Need Of Job

I am ramya..I am on H4 vissa..I am in Roseville(CA).I worked in
Accenture Hyd..for more than 1yr till August 8th 2008..I woked on Java
Platform..Right I have no work permit so in the mean while I completed
my SCJP certification Java.But now I am trying to do a job..Sitting IDLE
in home is very hard to me..I am newly married on march 2008..

In fact I am ready to do DATA ENTRY Jobs also..Can any one pls help me
out.In any platform I am ready to work..
