    For love of a son by Jean Sasson.

    Thsi is the story of Maryam, an Afghanisthan girl, who whose son will be kidnapped by her ex-husband and tken from US to Afghanisthan. Good work by Sasson who mostly writes about Muslim women in Middle Eastern countries.

    Too much adult content but the whole story line was very funny...and the climax..totally mind-blowing :)

    Hi all

    I wish to join too. I have read one tamil book. Here is the reason why I bought and read it.

    When my son was quoting Avvaiyar's Aathichchudi, all of a sudden he put one question? "Udayadhu Vilambel" nna ennamma ?
    (What is the meaning the of line "Udayadhu Vilambel")
    I was shocked. I could not answer. So I bought the book of Avvaiyar's literary work with meaning. The book is
    1) Iniya Needhi Noolgal - Kavignar Padmadevan

    After reading this book I became Avvaiyar's fan.

    Welcome to the club Sudha & Suriya. Suriya, it's so nice to know that one question from your son prompted you to read such an interesting book. I have been wanting to read more in Tamil too. You have motivated me to find Tamil books. Will keep you posted on how it goes.

    Hi all,

    Nice to see so many people here in this thread. I will join too :cheers

    Finished Chromosome 6, Mutation and Invasion by Robin Cook, in the last 3 months. All 3 are amazing medical thrillers :thumbsup

    Currently I am reading Vector by the same author. Let me see how many books I am able to finish this year :)
