Can you pls let me know the names of the good performing Diversified Equity Mutual fund Schemes and Balanced mutual funds where I can invest.

Also inorder to get a steady monthly income after the age of 60 , can U suggest some retirement investment plans that I can choose..

Hi,

Following are my recommendations:

Diversified Equity Mutual fund Schemes (Below average risk and above average return)

DSPBR Equity – 5 Year annualized return 27.95%

HDFC Equity - 5 Year annualized return 22.73%

HDFC Top 200 - 5 Year annualized return 27.21%

DSPBR Top 100 Equity - 5 Year annualized return 26.64%

Balanced mutual funds

DSPBR Balanced - 5 Year annualized return 21.53%

HDFC Prudence - 5 Year annualized return 23.68%

If you follow the above plan and invest 75k every month in recommended Diversified Equity Mutual fund Schemes for 20 years i.e. till your retirement age the corpus from this investment will be 11,36,96,623 (11.36 crore). This return is calculated at a conservative figure 15% annualized returns. If you get more return then the corpus will be much more.

If you invest 25k every month in recommended Balanced Mutual fund Schemes for 20 years i.e. till your retirement age the corpus from this investment will be 2,49,78,698 (2.49 crore). This return is calculated at a conservative figure 12% annualized returns.

You dont' need to invest in any retirement investment plan. The corpus from the above plan can be invested in monthly income plan or used for buying annuities which will give you regular income in your non earning years. The focus now should only be on building a big retirement corpus. Once you have that in place there are many options for regular income.

For example, the above corpus if achieved will give you an income of 9.2 Lakh per month if invested in a monthly income plan which gives you 8% per annum which even a post office scheme can give you.

Isn't the plan impressive? It is very much achievable. Start investing as soon as possible.

Hi Ooviya,

I think this is very funny but I misunderstood ILs in your quote as "In Laws" instead of "Indus Ladies" and would like to correct my reply. This is what I wrote:

Even if any of your IL's advice you and selling you the product you may not get biased information. My advice will be to just be careful when investing but start as soon as possible.

I can act as your financial planner and you don't even need to pay anything to me. If you are successfull in achieving your goals based on my suggestion I would be more than happy.

I am totally confused. Pls finally tell me,

I want to invest Rs.5,000 per month. Which one is best mutual fund suitable for it??? It's purely for investment purpose not for Tax Purpose. OR Tell me gud invest scheme other than NSC, LIC and ULIP.

Hi Ooviya,

2500 per month in DSPBR Equity(growth) and 2500 per month in HDFC Top 200 (growth). Start investing from monday.

I have answered the same question in a different post so I am just copying the same answer below:

what are the requirements for this?

To invest in GOLD ETFs traded on Indian stock market you must have a PAN card and a demat and trading account with a broker in India.

Is it one time or monthly option available?

Buying Gold ETFs is similar to buying a share of a company. You can buy it lump sum and also chose to invest regularly when you think it is the right time to increase your investment in Gold.

How much minimum/ maximum amount?

There is no limit for the amount which can be invested but the source of funds should be genuine.

How can we redeem it?

You can buy or sell it online or by a phone call to your broker. The amount will be credited to your account in two days.

Can we buy/sell it online?
