Does anyone know or live in apartment in abu dhabi which u consider as the best place for KIDS to live. viz.. play around, indian kind of neighbour hood. something similar to life back in chennai. If there is one i might consider moving into one... just thinking out loud.
Weird, lot of viewing but no responses. Ok how about rating different areas in a 1 to 10 scale for pure suitability for housewife and kids. (10 being the BEST). I will start with MUROOR @ 2. calm place, lots of parking but boring for kids.
Hi Ranjany, I live in Khalidiya, in an area where parking difficulty can be 6 to 8 on your scale. As for the suitability for kids, I feel any building which is within walking distance from the corniche should be good as there are many parks there. In tourist club area, opposite Abudhabi mall, there are two residential complexes which might satisfy your need. One is above the safeer (old pic and save) and the other is right across the road, above seashell refreshments, antique shops etc. (behind splash-shoemart-babyshop). In these complexes, the ground floor is the roof top of the shopping centre below, and it is wellplanned as a walking cum playing area. Its been a while since I've gone there, and I don't know if the salam street roadworks have affected the access to these buildings. Good luck with your search!!

Hi Ranjany, Me too Ranjini :hiya Where r u staying now so that it will be possible to suggest a location better than that. We cannot rate the place, rather it is important that u get good neighbours or friends near by. That depends upon u & neighbours. It varies frm place to place. We stay in Electra. Though there r Indians here, contact is less, but my son has some contact with his school friends near by & through IL I hv got some friends. We hv to find time, take them to park or outing etc to make them active. Who all r interested in a meet for kids? If there is good response, we will plan one exclusively for kids with games in a park or corniche. My son is 7 yrs old. How abt ur kid(s)? So think of it... ranjuz
