Believe that you are beautiful

    Centuries ago Shakespeare said, “There is nothing either good or bad but thinking it makes it so. Change your thoughts and you change the world.”

    This was not a new idea: the book of Proverbs (the Bible) tells us ”Be careful how you think: your life’s shaped by your thoughts.” Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “We become what we think about all day long.” Today, the idea that our thoughts create our reality is still valid. Leaders in today’s human potential movement such as Wayne Dyer, Anthony Robbins, and John Maxwell agree that we can become what we were meant to be largely by changing our thoughts.


    Wayne Dyer wrote a best-selling book on the subject called “You’ll see it when you believe it”, in which he says “Our futures are formed by the thoughts we hold most often. We literally become what we think about, and we are all given the gift of being able to write our own story.” And the Bible in Romans 12:1-3 says “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”


    The greatest thinkers throughout the ages have all been thinking the same thing. Every human-made object in our world began with a thought. The best thing is, because we own our thoughts, we can control them to our best advantage.

    My belief is that everyone is beautiful. We are all born into human bodies which will reflect our souls. An unhealthy body controlled by an unhealthy or negative mind will not radiate the true beauty of that person. A happy, positive beautiful mind will produce a happy, positive and beautiful body.
    Regardless of the ideals of the fashion world, we can all be beautiful in our own unique way. The potential is in all of us; all we need to do is believe it.



    The kind of beauty that emanates from a beautiful soul transcends time and fashion trends.

    Once we realise that we are already beautiful and really begin to love and cherish ourselves, we automatically begin to make changes in our lives to look after our bodies. We stop taking in toxic foods, drinks, drugs, habits and thoughts. We eat healthy foods and exercise because we choose to give our bodies the best fuel possible, not because we think we should, to maintain a specific weight.


    We begin to take better care of our skin because we know it needs attention and nourishment to perform its functions effectively. We take time out for ourselves to relax, meditate and pray because it gives us an opportunity to connect with who we really are; because we know it is nourishment for the soul.


    Believe you are beautiful and you will be! Once you do believe it, your attitude towards skin and hair care, diet, exercise, supplements and especially towards your LIFE will change dramatically – and for the better. You may experience greater contentment than you anticipated. I wish you health and happiness on your journey to self-acceptance.
