Bday Gift For 8 Yr Old Daughter

    We are taking our kiddo on vacation for her bday. Also few bday gifts. Since she has everything, I am asking my H to buy just 1 thing not plastic toys. Our basement is full of her small things and she never cleans up.

    Also, now that i plan to enroll her in classes, for her homework i am thinking to buy some laptop kind of her
    Would u suggest iPad vs apple computer for her? I prefer computer for eyes, and ipad is addiction.

    then, some other toys suggestions - for her age. STEM toys. I

    My kids have iPad for school work. They only get it for work and earn play time of max 30 minutes a week.
    What kind of things she likes? My 7 year old was thrilled to get her own set of Magic Treehouse books. If she is an advanced reader, Warrior clan books are great.

    For science games, both of my kids like gravity maze and Legos. She might enjoy board games too. My 7 yo girl asked for monopoly and battleship.

    My daughter reads but no that deep. she is still into dolls, doll dressing, princesses phase. She had all kind of dolls so i am tired of gifts now. I gave her all sort of physcial activities stuff but she is not into it at all so i am looking all sort of ideas.
    We are buying her iMac most likely and one toy i am thinking

    If she likes playing with dolls, you can get her a dollhouse if she doesn’t already have one. We bought for our dd when she was 4 and at 7 she still plays with it and all her friends love playing with it too. Another idea is to get her a nice rolling suitcase for your upcoming travel.

    As @MalStrom suggested, maybe see what her friends have that she likes.

    I still play with my kid’s Barbie dolls
    Buy what she will enjoy and cherish
    Personally I wouldn’t buy electronics for birthday then it becomes like mine
    rather will buy some book collection , toys or dolls . Mine favorite was cup cake diaries . We still have it in her book shelf . She loved Arthur and now she is 16 and still watches them. focus on buying something memorable rather useful . Now she is older I get her gift certificates to her favorite store. I miss picking up gifts for her . Enjoy this phase .
