Subhadra : Yes we can keep some flowers in it. But I dont use it as showpiece ! : -). When I visit people with small children we take sweets for them, so I put those sweets in such baskets, and give the child. They really like it ! This size basket can hold upto 250 gms. But the handle is only for decoration. Cannot use it to lift it !

Leela : we can make it more cuter by adding some bow or flower or butterfly motifs to the handle.

Nirmala and Shashiv : This is not so different or unique ! I found it in many Craft websites on internet !

ArunaRavi : Yes, it can have uses. I have fitted an empty face cream jar inside one basket so I can keep small change coins. I also have a bigger basket with a plastic cup fitted inside to keep the Weights of my three pressure cookers.

Swaran : Thank you . Basket weaving is like that spider -web craft we all use to make in school no, with broomstick and wool ? Basically there will be many "ribs" and we take the rope or chord or strip and go " ulley-veliye-ulley-veliye" , inside of one rib, outside of next rib again inside of next rib like that. See this youtube link ,from 2.30 there is basic basket weave.

Manish: Thank you. Yes, it can keep a child busy. But managing the weave may be frustrating for a smallchild. What she can do is, make five flat mats and cellotape together four sides and bottom for a square basket.
